WELCOME TO GRANDPA’S YARD
My Grandpa Morrissey had the most beautiful yard. From him, I learned about tomatoes, beans, roses and trees.
But the best part about Grandpa’s yard was the smell that came through the windows when he was cutting the grass.
I always visited my grandparents in the summer, and Grandpa would wait for me before he mowed the lawn because I loved the smell. When he was finished, I helped my Grandma hang linens on the clothesline while Grandpa fired up the charcoal grill.
This scent is fresh cut grass. Simple. Pure. Subtle. Clean. Fresh.
Just like my memories of Grandpa’s Yard.
