PLEASE FOLLOW THESE CANDLE CARE GUIDELINES

  • Trim and maintain wick to 1/8" to ensure even burning and prevent flame from growing too large
  • Burn the candle on a level, fire-resistant surface
  • Do not burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time
  • Stop use when 1/4" of wax remains
  • Burn within sight
  • Keep away from children
  • Keep away from anything that could catch fire

Why are there some variations in the appearance of your candles?

To keep our candles as clean as possible, we do not add paraffin or other additives, including dyes, to any of our products. As a result, your candles will be various shades of ivory/yellow depending on the natural color of the fragrance oil.  Your candle may also appear to have 'holes' or 'pits' at times - THIS IS NORMAL! We think it's way better to rock the natural look. #nofilter

How long should I expect my candle to burn?

You can expect your candle to burn for approximately 5 hours per ounce.

What kind of wax do you use?

We use 100% organic soy wax made in Iowa.

What kind of fragrance oil do you use?

We use all phthalate-free fragrance oils primarily from suppliers in Wisconsin.

What kind of wicks do you use?

All of our wicks have a cotton base, and we use ECO wicks whenever possible!

What kind of packaging do you use?

We are committed to using sustainable packaging. Our "bubble wrap" is made of kraft and tissue paper that are curbside recyclable. We reuse boxes and package protecting (packing peanuts, air pillows, etc.) that we receive from our suppliers whenever possible. If we need to purchase package protecting, we use biodegradable (dissolvable in water) packing peanuts.

How long until I get my order?

Every candle is hand-poured after it's ordered, so we don't keep a large inventory. You can expect your candle to be made within 3 business days and shipped within one week in most cases.

What if my candle isn't everything I wanted it to be?

Scent is subjective. If you aren't sure about whether you will like a scent, we recommend trying our test strips first before committing to a bigger purchase.

If your candle is damaged upon arrival, we will send a new one! Just take a photo, please, and email us at takeflightcandles@gmail.com for a replacement.

It is critical that you follow all the candle care guidelines listed above to fully enjoy your candle. Failure to follow the candle care steps may result in damage to your candle, your property or yourself. We don't want that!
